Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the Foundation for the Development of Education in the Pacific ( Fundación Eterna Primavera ) serves on a volunteer basis and is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing FUNDEP’s projects in Guatemala. Its members bring expertise in education, agronomy, community health, and project management, and maintain direct ties with the communities and schools where we work.

For many years I have been committed to and working with organizations that support initiatives in favor of the most needy people. The work is not limited to supporting projects in areas where the situation for the majority is urgent and precarious. And in order to achieve results, it is important in our "northern" countries to participate and raise awareness so that more equitable and fairer relations are established. Through FUNDEP I want to contribute my knowledge and realize our vision of a just world.

Daniel Armando Lemus

Vice President

I am putting my experience and my best efforts to work for the Fundación Eterna Primavera. For more than 10 years, I worked as a Project Manager in Cunén, El Quiché; I was a founding member of the Adult Education Project in the town of Orcasitas, Madrid, Spain; and I worked as a communications specialist in Nicaragua (1980–90) and (2015–2021). I can say that, knowing the reality of our communities, we have no choice but to take on the responsibility of working toward a better Guatemala.

I support the foundation on a voluntary basis because I share the vision and objectives. If we want to see a change in our country it is not necessary to start from the top, we must do it through small steps and unified efforts.
And it is a good option to support Guatemalan children who are the future of our country. Through education we can promote a change for tomorrow.

My name is Cindy Gabriela Montejo Montejo. I am an agricultural engineer specializing in agricultural production systems, and I am committed to sustainable development, food security, and strengthening the productive capacities of Guatemala’s most vulnerable families.

Elementary School Teacher with a degree in Psychology; 27 years of teaching experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

My hope is to contribute my experience and do my part to support the Foundation in its work for the benefit of society

My name is Ottoniel Yucuté Tuch, it is an honor for me to be part of Eterna Primavera Foundation, I know that in Guatemala there is much to do and develop economically, socially and intellectually, so I put all my effort to achieve the change that the country needs.

Mario de Leon

British-Guatemalan academic, researcher, analyst and international essayist, specialized in the areas of Global Health and Development; and Social Policy and Community Mental Health. With more than 20 years of professional experience as an international consultant working in integrated health with a focus on social and community development; Academic teaching, research and practical implementation of various intervention projects on priority social issues in Central America, South America, Middle East, Africa and Asia. More than 10 years of management, coordination and inter-institutional and inter-university facilitation in project implementation at national, regional and international level.

FUNDEP Support Association in Switzerland

We are a group of people in Switzerland who support and champion FUNDEP’s vision and work. The Förderverein raises funds, seeks out regular donors, and connects projects with Swiss foundations.
